Teach and Travel China
This program is a super way for you to discover the customs of China and its people.
China has become a hugely popular and exciting destination to visit for those taking ‘time out’ and this program offers you the opportunity to teach English as a foreign language to students who are especially keen to learn from native English speakers.
One months training and orientation will be provided on your arrival in China to ensure that you feel confident to teach and that you are conversant with the Chinese way of life. You will be based at the Wencheng Teachers College during your introductory month where fully qualified tutors will help you to become a successful teacher.
You will be given plenty of opportunities to make friends and practice the language at the social activities arranged both in school and after school, as you will be working alongside fellow travelers and Chinese students who are also training to become teachers.
Important requirements for the participants:
- Minimum programme duration is 3 months
- Willing to teach 15+ hours per week (in English)
- Aged over 18 years
- Willing to dress and behave appropriately
LocationThe school will be based in the province of Hainan, an island off the South coast of China where the weather is good all year round.
Accommodation and Meals
You will be housed in teacher accommodation on-site in the school for the duration of the program. All meals are provided.
