Teach English in Buenos Aires

The ability to converse in English is a precious skill for Argentineans wishing to succeed. However, the recent economic recession has made quality teaching hard to come by. The government does not have the money to attract native-speakers into Argentina, and parents lack the finances to educate their children in suitable establishments.

The Volunteer Role

Our volunteers plan their own classes according to the needs of the children and teenagers at the community center. You will be encouraged to be creative and resourceful in your teaching of the English language. You may also find yourself helping the children with their homework, organizing and leading field trips and games and becoming involved in administrative work.

As a volunteer you will be directly involved in teaching children and teenagers, helping them develop their English language skills. Your daily activities may include:

Teaching English to children from primary school to secondary school age
Mentoring the children and organising leisure activities for them.
Leading field trips

Accommodation and Meals

There are two options for accommodation, depending on whether you choose to combine the volunteering project with the Spanish language school or simply volunteer.

The language school and volunteering package
You will be staying with an Argentinean host family. The family will provide two meals a day, and a private room with a shared bathroom.
The volunteering project
You will be staying at a hostel with breakfast included.

Pay $339/€259 deposit to book. Balance due 10 weeks prior to departure.
