Medical and Orphan Volunteers Programme Zambia
You’ll be located at Livingstone, in Zambia for this project, close to the stunning Victoria Falls. You’ll be helping out at medical center and working with children suffering from AIDS related illnesses. This Orphan & Medical Project is geared towards giving you a deeper experience and insight into medical issues and its effects on local communities.
You’ll have the chance of working alongside staff in a variety of medical areas, ranging from baby wards, observational and maternity wards, HIV/AIDS groups and out patient department.
You’ll also be going into schools giving awareness talks, working on a number of social development projects and helping at an orphanage, something that previous “gappers” have found a moving and inspiring experience. You’ll benefit the lives of those who need your help the most, giving emotional, physical and educational support to children and community groups who live in the area. You’ll have unforgettable experiences and make life-long friends.
You’ll be given a four day orientation to the area, and then be immersed in the community, educating and enhancing their lives.

In your spare time Volunteering in Zambia, you have the chance to see Victoria Falls, and take part in various adventure activities as elephant and horse rides, bungee jumping and white knuckle water rafting.

Programme Summary:
This is a vital social development project based in Zambia, close to the magnificent Victoria Falls. You’ll be helping staff as they attend local communities at a nearby medical center, as well as giving love and care to children suffering from AIDS related illnesses at a local Orphanage.
