Our specialist team of adventurous overland travellers will take you in a comprehensively equipped vehicle designed for all of the tough terrains that you’ll be travelling along.  The trip begins from Nairobi, then you’ll head east to Lake Naivasha National Park and then hop over the Ugandan border.  Once settled in the camp near Jinja, the mysterious source of the Nile River, you spend the next ten days helping to re-build and re-furbish local village amenities and nearby rural schools.

Returning from Jinja, you’ll head back towards Kenya and then head south to Maasai Mara.  Here you’ll camp amongst the famed “Big Five” - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Buffalo and Leopard and may be fortunate enough to watch the beginning of the Great Migration.

Project Location

Uganda (Jinga, the beginning of the Nile River) and Kenya (Maasai Mari, Rift Valley, Naivasha).

Accommodation and Meals

During the period of the expedition, all accommodation is included.  Its style will vary: you will find yourself in cosy rustic small lodge type rooms called bandas some nights and on other occasions in very individual camp tents perfect for the local bush!

Three meals are provided every day. You will occasionally be expected to help prepare food and will be put into groups to help do this.
