Indonesia Island Adventure
The ProgrammeThis program is not for the faint-hearted as volunteers head off into some of Indonesia’s most isolated regions to experience adventure including trekking and rafting.
You are escorted by knowledgeable staff and guides throughout the program which includes:

- Camping and jungle trek
- Jungle training and survival skills
- See cultural performances
- Help out an Indonesian community
- Visit the spectacular beach in Pelabuhan Ratu
- Rafting
- Scenic boat trip and orangutan tour
- Explore traditional Indonseian villages
LocationThe program crosses the islands of Java (Indonesia) and Borneo (Malaysia).
Accommodation and MealsAll accommodation is included in the program and ranges from long houses, hostels, lodges and tents. There is even the possibility of a night in the forest in a hammock under tarpaulin or in a temporary hut.
Accommodation throughout the program is very basic – with no conventional sanitation, electric lighting, e-mail or phone connection. The bathroom facilities are usually little more than a jetty by the river!
Traditional Indonesian meals are provided using whatever produce is available in the remote regions you will be visiting.
